Tretyakov Gallery Branch in Vladivostok

On July 7, 2023, the State Tretyakov Gallery, with the support of the FESCO Transport Group, opened a Public Space in Vladivostok to visitors. The project aims to provide residents of the Russian Far East with access to the rich creative experience and educational programmes of the Tretyakov Gallery.

\r\nThe Public Space at 15 Aleutskaya Street will host cultural and educational events and programmes, and a library assembled by the Gallery's specialists, consisting of books from its publishing programme, catalogues of permanent exhibitions and major exhibitions of recent years.

\r\nThe Public Space is located in the historic building of the Far Eastern Shipping Company. In the 1910s it housed the main office of the trading house 'Briner, Kuznetsov & Co.'

\r\nThe Tretyakov Gallery branch in Vladivostok will be located in the museum and theatre-educational complex on Eagle's Nest hill. The total area of the branch will be 17,100 sq. m. Visitors to the complex will see exhibitions of Russian and foreign art, explore the open collections, spend time watching a film or reading a book, and visit painting and sculpture studios. Restoration workshops and a research centre will be open to members of the professional art community. Leading specialists from the Tretyakov Gallery will prepare educational and creative programmes for art lovers. In addition to the Tretyakov Gallery branch, the complex will house the Hermitage and the Primorsky Picture Gallery.
\r\nThe branch is scheduled to open to visitors in 2025–2026.
