About museum

On the grounds of the Kolomenskoye village in the early 2000s the museum complex "Groom's Estate" was created, consisting of the main building, exhibition rooms, a saddlery workshop, a shed for storing harnesses and carriages, and a working stable complex. The main building is a reconstruction of the historic building of the former village Sadovniki, recreated from archival materials and photographs. The guided tour of the Stable Yard tells the history of horsemanship in Rus', the practice of developing horse breeds, and rural horse husbandry.
