N. N. Zhukov House-Museum
About museum
On December 12, 1992, the only House-Museum in Russia dedicated to Nikolai Zhukov — a graphic artist, author of genre easel drawings and an honorary citizen of Yelets — was opened in the city of Yelets. In the house where Nikolai Nikolaevich spent his childhood and youth, four thematic halls are presented. The first hall contains items that belonged to the Zhukov family, as well as a set of paints from the English Royal Manufactory, gifted by the father to the future artist when he was four years old. The second hall displays works by Nikolai Zhukov devoted to the Great Patriotic War and the countries he visited. The third hall is devoted to children's themes, and the last one contains photographs from the Zhukov family archive and a portrait of the artist painted by his son.
