Beloglinsky Local History Museum
About museum
In 1965 the Museum of Beloglinsky District was founded, supported by newspaper correspondent Boris Gavrilko of the newspaper "Kolkhoznaya Tribuna" and by participants of the Civil and Great Patriotic Wars A. Lepekhin, M. Gordeev, Ya. Sobol, E. Rezvanova and others. Organized in the district library named after M. Lermontov, which was headed by T. Loskutova, the museum offers an opportunity to experience the traditions and cultural life of the district's residents. The museum features exhibitions dedicated to the history of the development of the education system, as well as halls of labor glory and of the merchant class of Belaya Glina. The museum also established the clubs "Istoki" (Origins), "Kollektsioner" (Collector) and "Vozrozhdenie" (Revival) for district residents, activists and collectors, respectively. Currently the museum collections of the MBUK 'Beloglinsky Local History Museum' comprise 5,297 storage units, of which 3,822 belong to the main collection and the remaining 1,475 to the research and auxiliary collection.
