Ishimbay Art Gallery
About museum
Ishimbay Art Gallery was founded in 1991 at the initiative of entrepreneur N. V. Zubarev and artist R. R. Kadyrov (Ishimbay). On July 10, 1992, it was opened in a three‑storey residential building in the city center dating from 1957. The gallery presents works by contemporary artists of the Republic of Bashkortostan, including local artists. It hosts exhibitions of contemporary visual art from the collection of the M. V. Nesterov Bashkir State Art Museum, the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan, collections of other museums, private collections, as well as solo and group exhibitions by Russian and Bashkir artists. Guided tours developed specifically for each exhibition are offered. The gallery is visited by schoolchildren, students and adults, who can view works by contemporary artists and enjoy many positive impressions.
