Historical and Revolutionary Museum
About museum
On December 12, 1965, the ceremonial opening of the school historical‑revolutionary museum was held in the village of Solonovka. The two‑storey house, formerly the headquarters of the partisan army, became the location for the exhibits. The museum was organized by the history teacher of Solonovka Secondary School, Vladimir Maksimovich Komarov. The teaching staff and pupils collected extensive material on the partisan movement, peasant life, socialist construction, and the Great Patriotic War. Over the years the museum has been visited by more than one hundred thousand people. Currently the museum is headed by Nina Vladimirovna Lapteva, and the museum's collection comprises about two thousand exhibits. The museum has two permanent exhibitions, as well as the collections “Towels”, “Peasant Household Items” and “Peasant Clothing: Festive and Workwear”. The museum's documentary holdings include documents, photographs and other materials that characterize the historical period of the village's life. Lectures, exhibitions, guided tours and other events are regularly held at the museum.
