Central Museum of Ancient Russian Culture and Art named after Andrei Rublev is the only state specialized museum of Russian ecclesiastical art of the Middle Ages and the Modern period.

\r\nThe museum is located within the walls of the famous Spaso-Andronikov Monastery, where the great icon painter Andrei Rublev painted the Spassky Cathedral — now the oldest church in Moscow.

\r\nThe museum has a rich collection of icons from the 13th to the early 20th centuries.

\r\nIn 2022 the museum celebrated the 75th anniversary of its founding.
