The Kormchaya Book

The printed book «The Kormchaya Book» dates back to about 1810. The edition is reproduced from a book published in Moscow at the Printing Yard in 1653.

The book has an ornament: headpieces, initials and lettering in the titles, the print is monochrome. The binding is solid-leather, light brown in color, with blind embossing and two fasteners (the locks are lost). The edges are stained with flecks of blue. On the spine and covers of the binding there is a geometric ornament and a rectangular panel with the image of an eight-pointed cross.

On the spine there is also an inscription: «KORMCHAYA BOOK WAS MADE IN 1873» and a paper sticker with the inscription «II / c. 12 / c. 19».
