Icon sample "Mother of God Assuage my sorrows"

The icon sample "Mother of God Assuage my sorrows" dates back to the second half of the 18th century — the date is determined by paper. An impression made with soot is made on thick yellowish paper with a poorly visible casting grid. The image shows the seated Mother of God, who is turned to the right. A baby is lying on her lap. The left hand of the Mother of God is raised to her face and folded in a double-fingered gesture, with her right hand she holds Christ. Her hair is visible from under the maforium. The baby has an open scroll in his hands, divided into lines, but without text.
