Icon sample «Our Lady of All Sorrowful Joy»

The icon model «Our Lady of All Sorrowful Joy» dates back to the second half of the 19th century. It is made on machine-made white paper without filigree. The image is a pale ochre print with ink and soot refinement. In the center is the Mother of God in a slight turn to the left, holding a scepter in her hands. There are angels on both sides of the Mother of God, as well as groups of sufferers who turn to her in prayer. Above is a celestial segment with a pectoral image of Christ in episcopal robes. The composition is enclosed in a rectangular frame measuring 10×9.7 cm. There is a two-stage oval pedestal, the angels and groups of sufferers have certain features, and there are scrolls without inscriptions.
