About museum
The Bagrationovsk Regional History Museum is located in the "Kreishaus" building, built in the early 20th century. On September 11, 1993 a permanent exhibition dedicated to the history of Bagrationovsky District of Kaliningrad Oblast was opened. The museum's collection comprises about six thousand items, including archaeological finds, a hoard of coins, engravings, commemorative medals, awards and elements of military uniform. Particularly notable is the postcard collection of Katarina Klein, with more than a thousand postcards featuring drawings from the early 20th century. The museum hosts art exhibitions and scholarly conferences on the topic "Eylau 1807 and East Prussia during the Napoleonic Wars."
