Tretyakov Gallery branch in Samara
About museum
In mid-2022, a Samara branch of the Tretyakov Gallery will open in the former Factory-Kitchen building of the Maslennikov plant, designed by architect Ekaterina Maksimova and constructed in 1930-32. After restoration, the bright constructivist spaces will host exhibitions of artistic masterpieces from the Tretyakov Gallery collection and other Russian and international collections. For visitors there will be exhibition programs, subscription series with museum educators and artists, lectures, film screenings, concerts and creative meetings. The "Tretyakov Club in Samara" will be available to visitors, featuring a library, multimedia resources, Tretyakov Gallery collections, a gift shop and a coffeehouse. A cinema hall will also operate, and in the branch's courtyard and nearby there will be an art space with exhibition pavilions, a café and a restaurant summer terrace, children's playgrounds and a stage.
