Mobile exhibition 'Sons of the Fatherland'

The exhibition tells the stories of well-known and lesser-known heroes of the Great Patriotic War, representatives of various nationalities who were born in Krasnodar Krai and were conscripted into the Red Army on the eve of and during the war. Display panels present the lives of the first Hero of the Soviet Union A. V. Lyapidevsky, V. K. Kokkinaki (test pilot, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Major General of Aviation), T. T. Khryukin (pilot, Colonel‑General of Aviation, twice Hero of the Soviet Union), V. A. Alekseenko (Guards Lieutenant‑General, twice Hero of the Soviet Union) and E. Ya. Savitsky (fighter ace of the Great Patriotic War, twice Hero of the Soviet Union). You will also learn about Kuban defenders of the Brest Fortress, participants in the Battle of Moscow, the defense of Leningrad, the liberation of Kuban, and the illustrious sons of the Kuban Cossack Guard. The mobile exhibition features slides and items from the collection.
