Exhibition "Secrets of the Astrakhan Kremlin"
About exhibition
The exhibition is open as part of the large-scale "Art-Express" program, which uses multimedia technologies to unite the exhibition spaces of five museums in the Southern Federal District into a single virtual multimedia network. In the 17th century the Astrakhan Kremlin was the center of governance and the administrative, economic and cultural life of the Lower Volga region, and the site of the first major urban settlement in Astrakhan. Multimedia tools help reveal new pages of the past, creating an immersive experience. Here you can also see reproductions of paintings by 19th–20th century artists from the collections of the Astrakhan Museum-Reserve and the Astrakhan State Art Gallery named after P. M. Dogadin, which depict the life and customs of townspeople in medieval Russia. The innovative exhibition is housed in the Powder Cellar of the Artillery Yard.
