Museum and Exhibition Center 'Petersburg Artist'
About museum
The Museum and Exhibition Center 'Petersburg Artist' was opened in the autumn of 2005. The museum's exhibition consists of works by artists of the Soviet and post‑Soviet periods (1940–1980 and 1990–2000, respectively). Today it is the largest private collection of paintings, containing more than 3,000 paintings and studies. From a small gallery the museum has developed into a full‑fledged cultural center. At the Museum and Exhibition Center 'Petersburg Artist' solo exhibitions are held, a magazine and art albums are published, and a museum library operates. Concerts, master classes, screenings of auteur films and other events take place here. The center's goal is to promote painting.
