About museum
At the beginning of the 20th century the building known as the 'Zemstvo Hospital' was constructed for the county zemstvo. For a long time it served medical purposes: it housed an outpatient clinic, a maternity hospital, a physiotherapy room and other facilities. The building's architecture reflects the Art Nouveau style, which is especially evident at the main entrance. The façade consists of a series of connected blocks, and in the risalit of the courtyard façade were located an operating room, a dental office and the doctor's office. The building's large hall was intended for the reception/registration area and visitors. In 2018 the building was transferred to the Yarensky Local History Museum, and permanent exhibitions 'County Doctor's Office', 'Paleontology Department' and 'Soviet Militia' were established.
