Exhibition Hall 'House of Merchants'
About museum
The museum hosts cultural and historical events, lectures, master classes and concerts.
In July 2016 a new museum — the House-Museum of the Merchants — was opened. It is located in a historic building constructed in 1861, which previously belonged to the Ranenburg merchants, the Grigoriev family. The three floors include cellars, a souvenir shop, and the living quarters of the merchant family. The exhibition presents household items, clothing, furniture, and photographs that allow visitors to learn about the life of the Ranenburg merchant class in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The museum also has an art gallery where exhibitions and concerts are held. It also hosts various cultural and historical events, lectures, and master classes.
