Kremenki Military-Historical Museum
About museum
On May 9, 1975 the museum was opened, and on May 6, 2020 its renewed exhibition was opened. It is dedicated to the great feat of our people who defended Moscow during the Great Patriotic War. The museum presents the Kremenki — Troitskoye — Bor — Yekaterinovka — Maleevo line — a site of battles and soldiers' heroism. More than 18,000 defenders of the Motherland died here. The command post of Lieutenant General I. G. Zakharkin, which was located in a village izba, has been recreated. The museum displays personal belongings of soldiers of the 49th Army, documents, weapons, as well as a terrain model of 1941 showing troop dispositions on the Kremenki–Serpukhov line. The house that housed the command post has been preserved to this day.
