Ugransky District Historical Museum
About museum
In 1975, on the 30th anniversary of the Great Victory of the Soviet people over the Nazi invaders, the Ugransky Historical Museum was opened, founded on the basis of the district's school museums. The museum houses five halls with various exhibits. The first hall displays items and objects used in the past (a handloom, a spinning wheel, a mortar, clothing, handcraft tools, pottery, etc.). The second and third halls exhibit materials about the life and struggle of the population of Ugransky District during the Great Patriotic War, as well as items, letters, and pictures reflecting the lives and struggle of eight defenders of the Brest Fortress — natives of the district. The fifth hall presents paintings by artists, as well as exhibitions dedicated to people of the Ugransky region who have made significant contributions in various fields of culture, art, literature, and science.
