The People's Museum of the village of Sukhaya Buyvola
About museum
The history of the establishment and development of our museum is connected with the names of many villagers. The founder is Ivan Fedorovich Kibenko, who strove to collect the first exhibits for the museum, which to this day remains a temple of history. In 1964, for the 200th anniversary of the village of Sukhaya Buyvola, a history of the village was compiled thanks to a creative group that included Pavel Nikitovich Grebenchuk, Georgy Grigoryevich Khodakov, Ivan Fedorovich Kibenko, and Raisa Stefanovna Shinkarenko. The building for the museum was restored according to the design by architect Nikolai Vasilievich Ilyinov. The mural decorations on the walls of the museum were executed by Ivan Fedorovich Ledenev, and the museum was opened in 1998. However, due to reorganization the museum fell into neglect and was temporarily closed. Thanks to the village head Alexander Ivanovich Tenkov, a major renovation was carried out and the museum was reopened on the village's 240th anniversary on November 27, 2004. It attracts grateful villagers who visit it with joy and nostalgia, the elderly with interest and amazement, and children who say "thank you".
