About museum
On April 9, 1980 the residents of Troitsky District celebrated the opening of the district local history museum. In 1991 it was reorganized into the People's House for the Revival of Traditional Culture. Search-and-research excursions were held across the district's villages, during which songs, dances and accounts of folk holidays and rituals were collected. On May 3, 2000 the museum moved to a new building in the village of Troitskoye. It houses the MBUK "Troitsky District Local History Museum" as well as the Archives Department of the Administration of Troitsky District. The following exhibitions are available to visitors: "My Native Land", "Peasant Farming and Life at the Turn of the 19th–20th Centuries", "The Beginning of the Soviet Period", "From the History of Troitsky District in the 1920s–1930s", "They Fought for the Motherland" and "Nature and Natural Resources of Troitsky District".
