On August 3, 2012, a museum of the history of technology was opened in Tisul with the exhibition "History of Technology Through the Eyes of a Contemporary." Today it offers permanent exhibitions, for example: "Here Is the Beginning of My Motherland...", "Finds and Discoveries: From the Past to the Future", "The Warmth of Old Hearths", "The Land of Silver and Gold", and "Soldiers of the Fatherland: Heroes of the Wars of the 20th Century." The museum also regularly hosts temporary and traveling exhibitions, events, and tours. The museum's collections comprise 8,349 items, including a model of the Kashtak ostrog (stockade) of 1697, a numismatic collection of coins and monetary tokens, documents and photographs on the history of enterprises and settlements of the Tisul district, as well as archaeological and ethnographic objects.
