Tarbagatai Folk Museum "Semeiskaya Antiquities"
About museum
It was established in 1982 and in 1984 received the title 'People's'. The museum's mission is the preservation and revival of family traditions. The museum halls are decorated with unique exhibits collected by the district's residents. It houses household, cultural and religious-history items from pre-Petrine Rus'. Photographs, letters from the front, awards and other exhibits tell of the district's military and labor feats. The museum also runs a workshop called the 'House of Crafts', where children and adolescents learn and develop traditional folk crafts such as costume sewing, puppet art, knitting, etc. The museum also hosts celebrations in which the workshop takes an active part in preparing events.
