About museum

In 1982, at the initiative of war and labor veterans G. K. Pospelov, V. P. Fedenev, A. P. Kozyukov and local historian F. P. Pshenichnikov, the museum was opened. In 1996 it was given the honorary title "People's", and in 1999 it was registered as a municipal cultural institution. The museum displays the personal collections of F. P. Pshenichnikov and of I. M. Malyshev, a full holder of the Orders of Glory, as well as a collection of antique coins, samovars, ceramics, stone-carving and birchbark items. The Hall of Military Glory preserves original documents and clothing of participants of the Great Patriotic War, the labor army and local conflicts (from the Orda district). The Hall of Old Domestic Life presents visitors with antique household items and the way of life of Orda residents.
