Museum and Exhibition Center 'Worker and Kolkhoz Woman'

About museum

In 2009 the symbolic sculpture 'Worker and Kolkhoz Woman' by Vera Mukhina and Boris Iofan — created for the 1937 Paris World's Fair — was returned to VVC. A year after a six-year restoration it was installed on a 30-meter pavilion-pedestal. As a result, the Museum and Exhibition Center 'Worker and Kolkhoz Woman' was opened; it has three floors and halls for temporary exhibitions and houses a museum dedicated to the sculptural composition. It is part of the Manezh Museum and Exhibition Association and is accessible to people with disabilities: there are elevators and wide ramps.
