Nyagan Museum and Cultural Center
About museum
The museum was opened on September 1, 2000. It was founded on archaeological collections obtained from a settlement-and-burial complex on the Yendyr River. The museum's exhibits provide insight into the lives of people in this area more than 200 years ago: jewelry, tableware, weapons, and much more. The main exhibition tells the history of Nyagan. In addition, the museum hosts temporary exhibitions dedicated to local artists, enterprises, and historical dates. All of this helps to better learn the history of the city of Nyagan and to foster patriotic education in the younger generation.
