About museum

The Museum of History and Culture of the Uymon Valley in the village of Verkhny Uymon attracts visitors from different countries. It was founded by Honored Teacher of Russia R. P. Kuchuganova. Raisa Pavlovna visits the villages of the Uymon Valley to collect folk tales and wisdom. She has an extraordinary gift as a storyteller, and many people come to Verkhny Uymon to listen to her. Raisa Pavlovna compiled all the collected materials into several books that have drawn readers' attention. She believes that folk traditions help us understand the values of kindness, beauty, respect for elders, diligence, and love for one's land and people.
