\r\nThe Museum of the South Sakhalin Offensive Operation is the youngest museum on Sakhalin, established in 2010. Currently the museum has more than 50 exhibits. The museum has three main exhibitions: \"Documents from the Archives Bear Witness\", \"79th Rifle Division of the 2nd Far Eastern Front, 16th Army (USSR)\", \"88th Imperial Infantry Division (Japan)\". They present materials about the Great Patriotic War, including household items, personal belongings, letters, photographs and veterans' recollections. The exhibits are continuously being added to.
