Aleshino Podvorye Museum-Theatre
About museum
The Aleshino Podvorye Museum-Theatre is located in the center of the Alesha Popovich Court tourist complex in Yaroslavl. Every day except Monday, from 10:00 to 18:00, an interactive program is held here, attended by up to 150 people throughout the day. As part of the program, visitors can take part in an initiation ritual into the ranks of the bogatyrs (epic warriors), as well as a workshop on making protective charms and “baking wishes” in a traditional Russian stove. Guests include the bogatyr Alesha Popovich, his wife Lyubava and their horse Yuliy, as well as the great-great-granddaughter of Zmey Gorynych. Here you can learn ancient Russian crafts as well as modern techniques. Various events are held for children; for newlyweds there is a welcome with bread and salt and a bride-ransom ritual; and for lovers of strong drinks — a bogatyr-style party with tastings of infused liqueurs and snacks.
