Gundorovskaya Stanitsa Museum
About museum
Gundorovskaya Stanitsa was founded in 1681 and is a cultural heritage site of the Rostov Region. In 1872 a building was constructed here that belonged to the Belikov merchants, and now the museum is located in it. It contains exhibitions dedicated to the history of the development of Gundorovskaya Stanitsa, household items, the furnishings of a Cossack kuren (hut), photographs and documents that tell about the stanitsa’s past and present. The museum also presents an exhibition dedicated to the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The majority of the items and documents were donated to the museum free of charge by hereditary Cossacks of Gundorovskaya Stanitsa — V. A. Fetisov and F. A. Fetisov.
