About museum

There are only four harmonica museums in Russia and worldwide, and one of them is located in Kaluga. Here you can see a reconstruction of the world's first harmonica (1783), visit the workshop of a Russian garmon master (maker), explore a traditional Moscow tavern and take part in concerts by contemporary performers on the harmonica, bayán and accordion. You can attend costumed tours and musical tea parties, learn the history and variety of these remarkable free-reed instruments, and hear their authentic live sound performed by professional musician-guides. We invite everyone to visit this museum and enjoy its wonderful programs!
