The museum's collections were assembled over the entire history of the reserve's existence and include botanical and zoological collections: plants, lichens, preserved specimens, skulls of birds and animals, mammal skins, models and antlers. The museum currently contains more than 3,800 exhibits. The Nature Museum of the Pechoro-Ilych Biosphere Reserve is a non-profit institution, i.e., it does not have any income and any money received is not distributed among participants. It belongs to a municipal organization.
