G.D. Krasilnikov's Apartment Museum
About museum
The G.D. Krasilnikov Apartment Museum was founded at the initiative of the writer G. Krasilnikov's widow, Z. G. Krasilnikova (1923–2001), and the Union of Writers of Udmurtia, and is dedicated to one of the greatest Udmurt prose writers of the 20th century. Opened in October 1989 to mark the 100th anniversary of Udmurt literature, it is located in an apartment of a five-story building constructed in the early 1950s. The exhibition includes personal correspondence documents, photographs and other materials that help to understand the writer's relationship with his era and the authorities. Visitors can visit three places that influenced the writer's life and experience the atmosphere of past decades. The museum's activities are aimed at collecting information about the literary history of the Udmurt people, as well as educational outreach.
