Museum of Peasant Labor and Everyday Life
About museum
For many years the Museum of Peasant Labor and Everyday Life has collected more than two thousand diverse exhibits that can be seen in five halls. There you can see household utensils, folk costumes, agricultural tools, and items of scientific and technical progress that were widely used in Russian and Mari villages at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries. The museum's special pride is the collection of yoke bells, which includes over one hundred pieces, and therefore the museum is known in the republic as the Museum of Bells.
