About museum

In 1994 the Government of the Russian Federation decided to transfer a collection of more than forty thousand items belonging to V.I. Lenin to the State Historical Museum‑Reserve 'Gorki Leninskiye'. Today it houses original exhibits from Lenin's apartment and study, as well as Maria Ulyanova's room, the library, the bedroom, the kitchen, the dining room, and gifts to Vladimir Ilyich from Soviet citizens.
