K. G. Paustovsky Museum
About museum
In 1975 Zoya Vsevolodovna Kvitko, a literature teacher at School No. 456 in the Volgogradsky district of Moscow, together with her students and the family of the writer K. G. Paustovsky, founded the museum bearing his name. It houses unique memorial items, manuscripts and documents of K. G. Paustovsky and his literary circle. Scientific conferences with the participation of Russian and foreign researchers are held here, the journal 'The World of Paustovsky' (Mir Paustovskogo) is published, and exhibitions are organized. In an 18th-century historic house a figurative-narrative exhibition has been created devoted to the inner life of K. G. Paustovsky. The writer's personal belongings, documents and photographs from his family archive, as well as works by well-known artists, are on display. The museum halls have been transformed into exhibition-art models dedicated to the writer's life journey. The museum provides for interactive, theatrical and club activities for visitors and is equipped with modern museum-exhibition and multimedia equipment.
