About museum
\r\nThe I.N. Ulyanov Museum was opened on September 12, 1986 in the building of the former exemplary three-year school. It was conceived as a museum of popular education, and a large collection of pens, textbooks and exercise books was assembled there. Subsequently the museum was expanded to six permanent exhibitions dedicated to the history of the region, namely: an art gallery, "Teacher's Bedroom", "Room of the Rural Intelligentsia", an interactive classroom, the "Room of the Counts Orlov-Davydov", ethnography, archaeology and peasant life. Museum staff develop various projects such as "An Exciting Journey through the History of Usolye" and the "Salt Fair", and also participate in various regional and interregional festivals and events.
