About museum
On November 4, 2000, a Museum of History and Culture was opened in the Zavyalovsky District, with participation from representatives of Russian, Udmurt, Tatar and Mari cultures. It features two permanent exhibitions: "Leafing Through the Pages of History" and "The Communal Apartment". More than five thousand rare artifacts from the 18th century and a unique collection of everyday items from the 20th century continually enrich the museum's collection. Two guided routes through the village of Zavyalovo are also offered: "Walking Through the Ages" and "No Statute of Limitations". The museum hosts master classes in ceramics, birch bark craft, decorative painting and textiles, where artisans make souvenirs. Today the Zavyalovsky Museum is a center of tourism and crafts.
