Museum of the History of the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory named after N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov
About museum
In 1969 the Museum of the Conservatory's History was opened; it commemorates the 125th anniversary of the birth of N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov. It houses albums, addresses, autographs, posters, invitation tickets, ribbons, newspaper clippings, which allow the study of the Conservatory's history as well as the origins and development of performance and composition schools. The museum hosts practical training for students, postgraduates, conservatory teachers, music college and school teachers, and theater, film and television directors. Materials from the museum are used for writing works dedicated to outstanding alumni: Glazunov, Ershov, Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Mravinsky, Sviridov and others.
