The Museum of the A. I. Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University is a separate structural unit established by Order of the Ministry of Education on July 19, 1974. It functions as a research, educational and instructional-methodological center for the history of the university, and as a state repository of monuments of material and spiritual culture. It is affiliated with the Association of University Museums of Saint Petersburg and is included in the 'Museums of Russia' database registry.
