Moscow State Exhibition Hall 'New Manege'
About museum
New Manege is one of the structural subdivisions of MVO 'Manege', marking the beginning of a new era in the capital's history. In 1888, commissioned by the City Duma, architect Vladimir Sher built the first electric power station, which was executed in the historicist style with hints of ancient Russian architecture. At that time the idea that electrification was the basis for universal well-being began to gain popularity. Lenin's phrase 'Communism is Soviet power plus the electrification of the whole country' confirms this. New Manege represents a combination of historical archaism and modern technologies, which supports the idea that the past and the present can be connected.
