The Mikulino Local History Museum was founded in 2003 and is an excellent place to explore the history of the village of Mikulino-Gorodishche, the first mention of which dates back to 1163. The museum houses around 1,000 items of various documents, antiquities, and archaeological finds. It also contains the Mikulino People's Art Gallery, whose collections include more than 200 paintings by 90 artists from the 1960s–1970s. Among them are 29 Honored Artists of Russia, 7 People's Artists of Russia, and 4 academicians of the Academy of Arts and laureates of state prizes. A visit to the museum provides an undeniable impression from viewing historical exhibits and allows one to feel the atmosphere of antiquity.
