About museum
The District Cultural and Leisure Center of Mikhaylovsky District brings together the best cultural specialists who work in the museum and exhibition department as well as in the department for preserving the culture and traditions of Russian Germans. It is a center for cultural development and enlightenment for the residents of the village and district, and also a center for the development of folk art genres. The institution's team includes specialists with extensive experience, including an Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation, an honorary resident of Mikhaylovsky District, as well as winners and laureates of regional professional skill competitions. More than 20 club groups with 390 participants of various ages operate here; two of them hold the title "Honored Collective of Altai Krai", and two others are designated as "folk collectives." The institution's ensembles regularly participate in various competitions and festivals, and in 2013 the dance ensemble "Razdolye" became a laureate of the international competition "Rosa Vetrov" in Sochi.
