Intersettlement Historical and Local Lore Museum, Kalachinsk
About museum
On November 3, 1977, the Kalachinsk Historical and Local Lore Museum was opened. It is located in the center of the town in a former merchant house built in 1905. The founders were local historians, history teachers, and other concerned residents of Kalachinsk. In 2015 the museum received a more spacious and convenient building. Work is currently ongoing to arrange the exhibitions, which will allow visitors to learn the history of the region and attract new people. As part of the museum's activities, events of new quality and format are being developed and held, for example, quests, guided tours and other initiatives aimed at increasing the tourist appeal of the town and district.
