At the museum you will see life-size fairy-tale heroes and mythological creatures created by Darya Chuzhaya. Here you'll take an unusual tour into the world of folk festivals and rituals, learn about ancient beliefs, gods, volkhvs (pagan priests) and shamans, as well as the esoteric practices of our ancestors. You will discover numerous protective charms, talismans, omens and healing methods, as well as common and rare forms of divination. Special emphasis is placed on household items that were used not only for practical purposes but also for magic. In the museum's library you can read local history articles, scientific and popular-science books and publications free of charge. Here you will become acquainted with the history of the Yaroslavl Upper Volga region, based on local-history research and archaeological and paleontological finds.
