About museum

The N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov House-Museum is a scientific and educational institution engaged in acquiring, studying, restoring, preserving and using materials related to the life and work of the great Russian composer. It recreates the authentic home of the Rimsky-Korsakov family, where Nikolai Andreyevich spent his childhood. At the museum visitors can familiarize themselves with the composer's work, listen to his music, study piano-vocal scores, opera scores, posters, programs, librettos and music literature. Visits to landscape monuments and the surroundings of Tikhvin are also offered. Various exhibitions can be viewed in the concert and exhibition hall.
