Igor Severyanin Literary Museum
About museum
In the village of Vladimirovka, located on the banks of the Suda and Kemza rivers, 40 kilometers from Cherepovets, in a coniferous forest you can find the Literary Museum, which in the mid-19th century became the poetic cradle of the future poet Igor Severyanin. Here a two-story manor house was built by his uncle M. P. Lotarev. The beautiful landscapes and the atmosphere of the estate awakened poetic inspiration in the poet, which gave him his pen name, Severyanin. Today the museum presents an exhibition dedicated to the history of the estate and its former owners, as well as to Severyanin. Here you can see photographs, textbooks and even the original mirror in front of which the poet spent a great deal of time trying to win the favor of Lizaveta, the daughter of the estate manager. Tours of the museum are available by appointment.
