The building of the Literary Section of the N. A. Ostrovsky Museum, located next to the writer's memorial house, was constructed in 1956 to a design by architect I. Spirina in the neoclassical style characteristic of Sochi's architectural appearance in the 1930s–1950s. It houses the permanent exhibition "Literary Sochi", dedicated to outstanding figures of Russia's literary scene: Odoevsky, Bestuzhev-Marlinsky, Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Bunin, Yesenin, Pasternak, Mayakovsky, Babel, Klyuev, Shvarts, Zabolotsky, Zoshchenko, Grossman. The pavilion also presents exhibitions from private collections, Russian and European museums, as well as contemporary art.
