Lyantor Khanty Ethnographic Museum
About museum
Lyantor Khanty Ethnographic Museum was founded in 1989. Initially the collection consisted of ethnographic objects from Alexander Kulikov, an ethnographer by profession. In January 1990 Anatoly Subbotin, a local long-time resident and hunter, donated a collection of stuffed animals and birds to the museum. This allowed the museum to develop. The main goal of the museum is the reconstruction and preservation of the indigenous people's culture, conducting research and organizing practical activities in this field. The museum has permanent exhibitions on various themes, as well as services and consultations for organizing fairs, exhibitions and crafts.
