Film Museum of Veliky Novgorod
About museum
In 2012 Valery Rubtsov founded the Film Museum in Veliky Novgorod. It currently includes more than 120 movie cameras and other 20th-century equipment, as well as period props. The library contains books, posters and other cinema-related materials. The Film Museum also preserves personal archives of well-known people. In 2017 the museum obtained a permanent location. Since 2018 the Film Museum has been open to visitors, who can view two floors of exhibitions and a screening hall. The first floor houses the exhibition "Black and White of the Great Silent", and the second — "I Am a Film Enthusiast." Between the floors are two exhibitions: "Stars in Kiosks" and "Made in the USSR." Visitors can learn about the history of cinema and film fandom in the USSR and see unique exhibits.
